Inspiration Meeting: The Aesthetic Foundation

With an advertising background, one of my favorite parts of the creative process is our inspiration meeting. In preparation for this phase, I get to tap into my old consumer insight skills to really extract the client's style, which will guide the aesthetic of the home. From their fashion choices to travel history to phase of life, each element adds to the project to make it distinctively personal. I want my clients’ friends and family to walk into their new home and know exactly who lives there.

This collection of images could guide the intent of a home. It’s refined but not perfect. Feminine, but not too sweet. It offers historical pieces and edgy details but has classic architectural bones.

On a historical note, these incredible pillars are from 16th century Spain. You can find them, along with other supremely curated Spanish Antiques, at one of my favorite local Charlotte dealers, Marta Gualda Artifacts. @martagualda.artifacts
